June:

  • Monday, June 11, 6 p.m., Florence-Lauderdale Public Library: Along with Anissa Graham and Dr. Brenna Wardell, will take part in a panel discussion, “‘You Brought the Monster’: A Discussion of Joss Whedon’s Work in TV, Film, and Comics. In preparation for the Slayage Conference (see below), the discussion will analyze the creations of Joss Whedon, from movies to television to comic books.
    • Event is free and open to the public.
  • Tuesday, June 12, 6 p.m., Florence-Lauderdale Public Library: Will take part in “‘Dawn’s in Trouble, Must Be Tuesday’: A Buffy the Vampire Slayer Sing-Along.” Participants will view the critically acclaimed musical episode of Buffy, “Once More with Feeling” and sing along with the tunes.
    • Event is free and open to the public.
  • Saturday, June 23 – 11:00 a.m.: Will present “‘Trouble Still Comes Around’: Sisyphean Philosophy in Avengers: Age of Ultron at the 8th Biennial Slayage Conference on the Whedonverses.
    • Closed event open only to registrants of the Slayage Conference.

October:

  • October 4-6, Time TBD: Along with Dan Williams, will present “‘It Troubles Almost Any Thinking Person’: Promoting Critical Thinking Skills through Firestarter and Study of Conspiracy Theories” at the Rocky Mountain MLA Conference in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
    • Closed event open only to registrants of the Rocky Mountain MLA Conference.
